Funeral prayers have been offered for Judge Aftab Afridi, his wife, daughter-in-law, and grandson who were killed in a firing incident near Swabi Interchange.

Funeral prayers were offered at his native village on Puggi Road. Martyr Judge will be buried in his ancestral graveyard at Jag Kalay.

Funeral prayers were attended by a large number of lawyers and people from various walks of life.

An FIR has been registered against the slain Judge Aftab Afridi, his wife, and children. Eight people, including Abdul Latif Afridi and his son, have been named in the FIR.

It may be recalled that Anti-Terrorism Swabi Court Judge Aftab Afridi was on his way to Islamabad from Peshawar with his wife, daughter-in-law, and grandson when he was attacked. The judge and his family were killed in the attack. The guards were also injured.

Prime Minister Imran Khan strongly condemned the killing of ATC Judge Aftab Afridi and his three family members and said that those responsible for the incident would be arrested and punished according to law.

It should be noted that Judge Aftab Afridi belonged to Barqambar Khel in Khyber District, a tribal region that was merged with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He was appointed a judge of the anti-terrorism court in Swat district in February this year.
