Government officially removes registration and excise tax on electric vehicles

Electric vehicles would not be charged a registration fee or an excise tax in the capital, according to the government’s directives, according to DC Islamabad.
All owners of electric vehicles in the Islamabad Capital Territory can now register their vehicles for free.
“Good news for Islamabad,” DC Islamabad tweeted. The government has mandated that no registration fee or excise tax be collected on E-Vehicles. This will assist in further improving the capital’s atmosphere by pushing purchasers to select electronic automobiles.”
