Federal Finance Minister Hamad Azhar, while announcing the reduction in petrol and diesel prices, said that the government has decided to open sugar trade with India.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Finance Minister Hamad Azhar said that the price of petrol has been reduced by Rs 1.5 and diesel by Rs 3.
Hamad Azhar said that it has been decided to open sugar trade with India, while cotton imports from India will also be opened by the end of June.
The Federal Minister said that our currency is standing strong, the dollar is not flowing, the basis of our every policy will be the welfare of Pakistan and the common man.
“I have come with a direct vote and I will go back to the people. I will be in direct contact with the members of parliament. All policies will be made in the public interest,” Azhar said.
Replying to a question, Finance Minister Hamad Azhar said that the SBP has become independent, current account deficit and foreign exchange reserves have stabilized, they are in touch with the IMF, it has paid an installment of 500 million Dollar.
