Punjab Education Minister Murad Rass in a Press Conference said that I want to take exams in May, this time no one will be promoted without exams.

Provincial Education Minister Murad Rass said that educational institutions are going to be reopened from January 18. If educational institutions have to be closed again, they will do so immediately. Punjab Education Minister Murad Rass in talking with the media said that from 18 January Ninth and Matric Grade Classes will be opened. Education suffered the most during Covid. Classes will be opened from the first to the eighth grade before the 25th of January.

Universities will also be reopened from 1st February. More than 50 percent of students will not be allowed to sit in the school at a time. Murad Rass added that if schools have to close again, they will close immediately.

Talking about the exams, he said that some people are saying that the exams are in August, but I want the exams to be held in May.
He further added that this time we will not allow any child to pass without exams. Earlier, while talking to a private TV channel, he said that we had locked down before and Covid’s condition was looking a bit better. The graph of cases has come down a bit, I think the way we have opened the rest of the sectors of SOPs, now we are going to reopen, we will implement SOPs, opening a school is a difficult decision because of the biggest loss. It is happening to children.

No child will be promoted without examination this year, children will be given homework marks, next academic year will start after examinations in May and June, summer vacation is very limited. He said that due to the loss of children, the holidays were being reduced so that more time could be given to the children. He said that efforts would be made to bring back the children who have dropped out of school.
