Algeria: On the auspicious occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi, the Algerian Grand Mosque has been inaugurated in Algeria. which is the third-largest mosque in the world and the largest in Africa.

According to the international news agency, the Algerian capital, Algeria, has been inaugurated in Algiers grand mosque. which worth at the cost of one and a half billion dollars and spread over an area of ​​70 acres. Which inaugurated on the occasion of the blessed birth of the Prophet Muhammad where 120,000 people can pray at a time.

This mosque’s highlight is the beautiful and bright minaret of 43 stories and 267 meters high, seen from all sides of the capital. The combination of blue marble and a particular type of wood beautifies the mosque’s interior. While the carpet is adorned with charming floral designs.

Besides, the walls of the mosque are decorated with beautiful calligraphy. The mosque has a library with 1 million books, a lecture hall. A museum on Islamic history and art, 12 buildings, including a garden and fountain. The mosque has five imams and five muezzins.

However, Prime Minister Abdul Aziz Jarad offered prayers at the mosque’s inauguration. Which was also attended by political and religious leaders of the country. Currently, a hall of the mosque has been opened due to the Corona epidemic. Construction of the mosque began in 2012 by President Abdulaziz Bouteflika.

Construction of the mosque was completed in 2019 in seven years, but the inauguration was delayed due to controversy. A Chinese company built the mosque.
