After completing his visit to the United Arab Emirates, a video message of Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi regarding the objectives of his visit to Iran has come to light.
In his video message, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that he was grateful to Foreign Minister Jawad Zarif for visiting Pakistan several times.
He said the Iranian leadership would have an opportunity to discuss the situation in the region while many new developments have taken place in the Afghan peace process.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi also said that as Afghanistan’s neighbor, the Afghan peace process is also important for Iran, the Iranian foreign minister’s views on the Afghan peace process will be an opportunity to know.
The Foreign Minister said that our aim is to bring uniformity in strategy after consultation with Iran.
He said that he was grateful to the Supreme Leadership for taking a firm stand on the Kashmir issue while Iran has always supported Pakistan’s position.
Shah Mehmood said that the possibility of advancing relations with Iran would also be discussed.
The Foreign Minister further said that Iran has liked Pakistan’s proposal for the establishment of border markets and the establishment of border markets will also be discussed with Iran.
