The Islamic Ideological Council has recommended the opening of a temple in Saidpur, Islamabad, to the Hindu community. Commenting on the construction of the temple, the Islamic Ideological Council recommended the opening of a temple in Saidpur. Moreover, they said that it was permissible for the Hindu community to provide space for a cremation ground and to build a community centre for religious festivals.

According to the Council, the allocation of government funds for non-governmental places of worship cannot be supported. So as a Pakistani citizen government, it can allocate a separate amount for the welfare of the Hindu community.

Furthermore, there was a lot of discussion regarding the temple, on which the Minister of Religious Affairs had recently briefed the government on its position.
