After the outbreak of corona virus, the New Zealand prime minister Jacinda Ardern postponed the New Zealand elections. Which was supposed to be on September 19, 2020, but will now be on October 17, 2020. According to the New Zealand law prime minister have authority to delay the elections for up-to 2 months. Opposition parties also called for a delay after an outbreak of virus in Auckland last week induce the government to put the city in a two-week lock down and stop the election campaign.
