A man threw acid on his cousin as she refused his marriage proposal in Karachi Akhtar Colony, as per Geo News reports.
The victim is a 29-years-old divorced woman and mother of 2 children, she was shifted to Dr. Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital’s burns ward.
Doctors reported 40 percent of her body had been burned, according to initial reports.
Shehzad, the suspect had taken his parents to the woman’s residence to deliver a marriage proposal, which ended with him attacking her with acid after she refused to accept his offer, according to police.
They said that on behalf of the victim’s father, a complaint had been filed against Shehzad. To arrest the culprit, raids are being carried out.
