Karachi: The initial report of the attack on Maulana Dr Adil Khan Shaheed has come to light. The IG Sindh has submitted a preliminary report to the Sindh Chief Minister regarding the attack on Dr Adil Khan Shaheed, the superintendent of Farooqia University Karachi. According to initial reports, Maulana Dr Adil Khan got out of Darul Uloom Korangi in his car. On the way, he stopped at Shama Shopping Center. One of his companions went to do some shopping. Meanwhile, two motorcyclists opened fire on his vehicle. The assailants fired five shots, two of which hit Maulana Adil and three hit his driver, Maqsood Ahmed.
Both the persons were seriously injured in the firing incident while Maulana Adil’s colleague Umair was not harmed. After the attack, Maulana Adil was shifted to Liaquat National Hospital where his testimony was confirmed. According to a spokesman for Liaquat National Hospital, Maulana Adil was shot in the neck and abdomen. On the other hand, driver Maqsood Ahmed was shifted to Jinnah Hospital, but he could not recover.
