Maulana Fazlur Rehman, head of the anti-government Ittihad-e-Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), and PML-N leader Mian Nawaz Sharif have had a telephone conversation.
According to sources, in a telephone conversation, the two leaders discussed the overall political situation in the country.
The two leaders discussed in detail the intensification of the PDM movement after Ramadan and the unpopularity of the government among the people in the by-elections.
It should be noted that PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said in a statement that all political parties have equal status in the PDM, there is still an opportunity for the PPP to reconsider its decisions and refer to the PDM.
On the other hand, former Prime Minister and PPP leader Raja Pervez Ashraf said that we did our best to strengthen the alliance, no matter what, alliances are formed and broken.
