Mesha Shafi has filed a petition seeking stop of proceedings on Ali Zafar’s defamation suit.
Actress and singer Mesha Shafi has filed a petition in the Lahore Sessions Court seeking stop of proceedings on the defamation suit filed by Ali Zafar.
Singer Mesha Shafi has taken a stand in her petition that the FIA has filed a case against other witnesses which has frightened my witnesses mentally. So She is appealing to the court should stop the proceedings on the defamation suit till the FIR is decided.
Lahore Sessions Court Judge Yasir Ali, while hearing Mesha Shafi’s plea, sought reply from singer Ali Zafar on the petition filed by Mesha Shafi and adjourned the contempt proceedings till October 13.
It may be recalled that singer and actor Ali Zafar has filed a compensation claim of Rs 1 billion against Mesha Shafi for sexual harassment.
