Last year, Discord, which has over 100 million monthly users, revealed plans to improve the app’s functionality in order to grow its user base even more.
Bloomberg cites anonymous sources as saying that Microsoft Corp. is in talks to buy the famous calling and messaging app Discord for more than $10 billion.
Despite the fact that talks are ongoing, one source claims that no agreement is imminent and that Discord would rather “go public than sell itself.” Microsoft and Discord representatives have yet to comment on the situation.
According to the insiders, Xbox president Phil Spencer sat down for talks with the company after Discord reached out to the tech giant “to gauge interest.”
