Despite the district police’s efforts, another little kid was killed in celebratory gunfire on Thursday.
The body was taken into police custody, and other people were arrested at the residence where the wedding was being hosted. The suspects have been charged with a crime.
According to reports, Javed Abdul Khaliq, a resident of Chak No. 27GB, Jaranwala Road, was in the middle of his wedding ceremony when his guests opened fire in celebration.
A boy identified as 10-year-old Shaoor, son of Shahid, was shot and severely injured during the aerial firing.
The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Several guests who were involved in the firing were arrested by Rodala police. They also began looking for the groom. CPO Ghulam Mubashir Mekan took notice of the situation and sought a report on the incident from the Jaranwala SP, as well as orders for the SHOs to arrest the other suspects and groom.
