Pakistani mountaineer Samina Baig’s expedition of K2’s has entered the last stages today (Thursday).

Baig, the first Pakistani female mountaineer to summit Mount Everest, is now determined to wave the green flag on the 8,611-metre high K2.

She has already scaled the seven highest peaks in the world, known as the Seven Summits.

The six-member expedition team has been sponsored by the Special Communication Organization, which is supervising the campaign titled ‘SCO K2 Dream’.

In 2015, the mountaineer was forced to call off her bid to summit the mountain after suffering an injury while climbing.

She had been climbing K-2 on a second rotation to acclimatize to conditions at high altitudes ahead of a summit attempt.
