NEPRA increased the price of electricity by Rs 1.62 paise per unit. It will impose an additional burden on consumers. According to a statement issued by NEPRA, the price of electricity has been increased by Rs 1.62 per unit. The price increase was made in the year 2019-20 in terms of quarterly adjustment.
The price hike will affect the people after notification from the federal government, and K Electric customers will be exempted. The price hike will impose an additional burden of Rs 162 billion on consumers.
