36-year-old travel vlogger Shafeek Hashim from Karoor, near Ambalappuzha in Kerala’s Alappuzha district, has adopted a unique strategy by transforming his bald head into advertising space, earning Rs 50,000 for a single advertisement.

Shafeek, who has a YouTube channel with approximately 28,000 subscribers, invited brands to advertise on his bald head through a Facebook post. The post quickly went viral, attracting interest from numerous companies.

He claims to be the first Indian to display an advertisement on his bald head.

In a recent YouTube video, Shafeek showcased a temporary tattoo advertisement for a Kochi-based hair transplantation clinic on his head. As per the agreement, he will display the ad for three months, featuring it in his vlogs during this period.

Reflecting on his journey, Shafeek shared that he had considered undergoing hair transplantation due to concerns about baldness since his college days. However, he chose to embrace his baldness and monetize it by offering his head as advertising space. He hopes his initiative will inspire others to feel confident about their natural appearance.
