ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s delegation demanded a 30-40 percent discount on Russian crude oil during talks in Moscow on Wednesday. But the Russian side said it could not offer anything yet because all the volumes had been committed.
Minister of State for Petroleum Mossadegh Malik represented Pakistan in the talks held in Moscow. Secretary Petroleum Captain (Rtd) Muhammad Mehmood, Joint Secretary, and officials of the Pakistan Embassy in Moscow accompanied the Minister of State.
The talks ended inconclusively but the Russian side promised to consider Pakistan’s demand and express its views later through diplomatic channels.
