Karachi: Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that it was the right of our party to make the Leader of the Opposition in the Senate.

Addressing a press conference in Karachi, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that PPP is a democratic party and follows democratic traditions. Gilani was treated unfairly and he was stripped of the post of Chairman Senate. He will file a review appeal in the Islamabad High Court.

Bilawal Bhutto said that there is a history of the senate which has a majority in the opposition. The leader of the opposition also has the same. The number of members who were with the PML-N was 26. It was right, Yousuf Raza Gilani was made a senator by making him a joint candidate of PDM, the senator of PML-N was hoping that he would vote for us, the senators of BAP are now sitting in the opposition benches, I welcome him, and hope Opposition parties will welcome Yousuf Raza Gilani.

The PPP chairman said, “I urge the PML-N friends to be courageous. We want the unity of the PDM to remain intact and without any harm. I gave and I know who uses it and who doesn’t, I respect the PML-N leaders, I respect Maryam Nawaz, I never criticized Maryam Nawaz whenever there was a difficult time and No, we will give tough time to the government inside and outside the parliament together and will continue our struggle to overthrow the government.

Bilawal Bhutto said that the proposed ordinance on SBP is tantamount to snatching sovereignty, condemned, the proposed ordinance is an attack on financial sovereignty, the government should withdraw it, the government does not have the capacity to make the right decisions before the IMF. However, it is a historic failure that the growth rate is even lower than that of war-torn Afghanistan and Bangladesh.
