Despite the ongoing corona pandemic , The traders of Pakistan have exported over 7,000 tons of mangoes to Saudi Arabia in this year, which is almost twice the volume exported last year.
The Pakistan Consul General in Jeddah Khalid Majid said during the meeting that Pakistan had exported only 3,700 tons of mangoes last year and this year the export is double.
He further said that Pakistan is the second largest exporter of mangoes to Saudi Arabia.
Pakistan produces an average of 1.75 million tons of mangoes annually, which makes it the sixth largest producer of the mango fruit in the world.
The Pakistan Consul General in Jeddah Khalid Majid said “ All nationalities in the Gulf Arab region like the sweetness and aroma of Pakistani mangoes”.
