Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that if India reconsiders the decisions of August 5, 2019, then Pakistan is ready to discuss all the issues that need to be resolved. The two countries need to sit down and talk.
In an interview with the Turkish News Agency, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said we could not afford war. It will be suicide for both the countries; Pakistan and India need to sit down and talk.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that both sides welcomed the talks between the DGMOs. The Indian leaders reiterated their commitment to the ceasefire. The Indian initiative eased the tension that both sides welcomed.
The foreign minister said that there could be another civil war if there was no political agreement on the Afghan issue. The Afghans would continue to try to keep the Taliban involved in the peace process.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi added that the peace process launched in Doha should reach a logical conclusion through the Istanbul Conference.
