Malik Amin Aslam, Pakistan’s Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Climate Change, launched the country’s first e-Taxi for northern districts as part of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s goal of a Clean Green Pakistan.

According to Amin Aslam, the e-taxi driver will save Rs12,000 on the budget. According to Aslam, switching to e-taxi will save Pakistan Rs2 billion in oil imports while also providing economic benefits to drivers.

He congratulated Sapphire Group and Faisal Movers on their collaborative initiative, which embraces the future in advanced mobility and sustainable growth. He made the remarks at the launch of the first-ever electric vehicle taxi services in the hilly terrain of Northern areas, made possible by a joint venture between the two companies.

According to an engineer with the private company that created the e-taxi, the e-taxi could easily travel up to 250 kilometers with full battery charging.
