Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Fawad Chaudhry on Wednesday claimed that several members of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) have contacted for the party tickets to contest elections in Punjab. The former minister further said that the candidate of each constituency will be evaluated on merit. He announced that new elections in Punjab will be held before March 20. Responding to the coalition government’s plan to thwart the PTI’s strategy, Fawad maintained that the party’s Punjab division was ready for “every attack” by the PML-N.
“In both cases, these motions will be defeated by an immediate vote,” he confirmed. Earlier, the PML-N had said it would not accept the PTI’s demand for snap polls as it too has several options to protect its central government from possible aftershocks of mass resignations. . PTI chief Imran Khan’s announcement to quit the system surprised many people.
The first reaction to the media was from Home Minister Rana Sanaullah, who said that he would move a no-confidence vote in both Punjab and KP to prevent the PTI from dissolving the two assemblies. – Trust is offered, but the house cannot be dissolved. However, this is not the only option that PML-N leaders claim to have.
