Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that he is willing to tender his resignation. On the condition, opposition party leaders will return the money they plundered from the country.

The Prime Minister said this at a Federal Cabinet meeting on Tuesday. When the PDM’s resignation deadline expired during the session, the PM offered his resignation, saying he is ready to resign if opposition party leaders, particularly Nawaz Sharif, Asif Ali Zardari, and Fazlur Rehman, returned the money looted from the government.

The Prime Minister stated that going to resign from the Assembly needs courage, which the opposition lacks. “They would not have run away from the country via NRO if they dared to resign,” he said.

He said the opposition had been unable to hold a long march or to mobilize the people. They made false promises throughout their lives, and this time they have lied about resignations; resigning needs moral strength and character, the PM said.
