Recently, President of Tajikistan Imam Ali Rehman arrived in the capital Islamabad on a 2-day official visit to Pakistan.
On his arrival, Commerce Minister Naveed Qamar welcomed him at Islamabad Airport.
The representative of the Foreign Office said that the two sides will discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation in various fields. Islamabad and Dushanbe are about to sign a number of bilateral agreements and memorandums of understanding to promote relations.
Tajikistan President would discuss regarding the firming cooperation in a wide range of areas.
The MoFA spokesperson said, “Rahmon’s visit to Pakistan is expected to impart a renewed impetus to deepening cooperation between the two sides and to strengthen the growing geo-economic partnership.”
He would be interacted for the second time with PM Shehbaz Sharif, the last time they met was during the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit.
