The fact-finding report of the ruling party’s Foreign Funding Case unveiled by the petitioner Akbar S. Baber on Tuesday claimed that PTI allegedly received Rs2.2 billion illegal funds from foreign countries.
“This huge amount of Illegal funds were received from different countries including, US, UK, Canada, and Australia,” Akbar S Baber said.
Earlier, petitioner Akbar S. Babar along with his lawyers handed over the report to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
The report is based on the perusal of PTI records submitted by the party before the ECP in compliance with the ECP order of April 14, 2021. The perusal of PTI records was conducted by two financial experts Arsalan Vardag, FCA, and Muhammad Sohaib, ACA, ACCA.
The PTI records examined relate to the period 2009 to 2013 as per the TOR of the Scrutiny Committee.
