Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated US President-elect Joe Biden on his election victory.
He said Russia was ready to contact Biden. President Putin said that despite differences, the United States and Russia can solve many global problems and challenges. Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin refused to recognize the next US president, Joe Biden, until the official results were announced. In an interview with state TV, Vladimir Putin said he is ready to talk to any US leader.
Putin called Joe Biden’s decision not to congratulate him a “formality” and said he would work with anyone the American people trusted to accept Biden as president.He said that confidence would be gained only by the candidate whose victory was legally confirmed.
