The British newspaper has revealed that Queen Elizabeth II obtained legal immunity in the ’70s to hide her personal wealth from the public and for this. She put pressure on the government to legislate.

The British newspaper says that the Queen’s personal lawyer put pressure on the British ministers to bring such a change in the law. After which the Queen can keep her personal shares in any business or company secret from the public.

Under the Queen’s pressure, the government added a new provision to the law, giving the government the power to exempt companies holding shares in the head of state.

The legislation was passed in 1970 for the state-run Shell Corporation, which owned the Queen’s shares and investments.
