KARACHI: Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani have opposed the closure of all educational institutions.
Saeed Ghani, in a meeting of the NCOC chaired by Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood, stated that children would not be promoted in classes without examinations this year.
Saeed Ghani suggested that not all educational institutions should be closed. But primary schools with an enrollment of 73% should be closed. All classes of class 6 and above should be continued, as well as ninth, tenth, eleventh. And it should not be decided to take the twelfth exams in May and June. But the matter should be postponed and decided later in view of the situation. While all non-teaching activities in educational institutions should be completely closed throughout the year.
Saeed Ghani demanded that in order to provide financial relief to small private schools, tuition, and coaching centers. Loans should be provided on easy terms through banks on which interest should be paid by the federal government so that these private schools do not suffer financially.
