The government of South Africa has instructed the cricket South Africa’s board and senior executives, including acting CEO Kugandrie Govender to step down from the seat. South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (SASCOC) will appoint a task team to conduct the board’s affairs. Further, the team will find suitable members for SASCOC and CSA’s Members’ Council within one month. The decision can lead the ICC to ban South Africa at the international level due to government interference.
