It has been decided to reopen the educational institutions which were closed due to the severity of the second wave of the global epidemic Coronavirus.
Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mehmood has said that primary to 8th class educational institutions will be opened from January 25. While ninth, tenth, eleventh, and twelfth classes will start from January 18. However, universities and other higher education institutions will be opened from February 1.
Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mehmood, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan Dr. Faisal announced in a press conference that it has been decided to open educational institutions across the country in three phases.
Shafqat Mahmood said that online learning can be done from January 11, board exams will be held in May and June.
Furthermore, The Federal Minister for Education said that the decision to open educational institutions was taken in consultation with the provinces. The health situation will be reviewed again on January 14 and 15.
An inter-provincial meeting of education ministers was held under the chairmanship of Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood.
