Good news for aspiring students for Ph.D., now it will be possible to get admission directly in Ph.D. after BS. Ph.D. in any subject other than the related subject will be allowed.
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has issued a new policy for admission to Ph.D., according to which students will now be able to enter Ph.D. directly after BS, students will have to study extra hours in BS. PhDs will be allowed in any subject other than the relevant ones.
Universities conducting Ph.D. programs before November 2013 have to submit the report to HEC by 31 December 2020. Universities running the Ph.D. program after November 2013 have to get NOC before December 31, universities will adopt the policy of getting approval from their respective boards, the new policy of HEC will be effective from 1st January 2021.
Also, the Higher Education Commission has changed the portal for certification of degrees, HEC has set up a new portal called e-service for certification of degrees. Pre-registered students can use their old ID and password on the new portal.
