The government has released Hafiz Muhammad Saad Rizvi, the leader of the ban Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP), after fruitful rounds of negotiations with his party members earlier today.
After a fruitful round of talks, Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed declared in the early hours of Tuesday that the now-proscribed Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan (TLP) has decided to end its nationwide protest after the government agreed to table a resolution about the expulsion of the French ambassador in the National Assembly today.
The arrest of Rizvi last week in Lahore sparked nationwide protests, with TLP workers taking to the streets in protest.
