Potentially , Social Media Giants Facebook , Twitter and Instagram are going to be completely banned in India from tomorrow after failing to comply the new guidelines tabled by the Indian Government .
According to India’s Government social media rules announced, Social Media platforms have to appoint compliance officers from India, who will overlook the complaints, monitor the contents, and remove it if objectionable.
The development came after Twitter started labeling India’s Government Officials tweets as ‘ Manipulated Media ‘ .
The deadline to accept the guidelines set by the government will end on May 25th but so far none of the platforms including WhatsApp, Facebook, and Twitter has complied with the new regulations yet. Most probably, noncompliance with guidelines will pave the way of blocking social media giants in India from tomorrow. Let’s see how this event unfolds.
