The US imposes sanctions on Myanmar military chief’s children
The USA Treasury Department has imposed sanctions on Myanmar’s military chief and the ruler’s two children. In the United States, both assets will be frozen. According to the news agency, sanctions were imposed in response to the military coup and the killing of peaceful protesters. The United States has previously imposed sanctions on other leaders, including the military chief.
More than 60 people have been killed and hundreds injured in crackdowns on protests in Myanmar.
