US State Department spokesman Ned Price said the world would not accept a government formed by force in Afghanistan. Spokesman Ned Price said the only government in Afghanistan that would be recognized had the support of the people and had a clear majority, especially respect for human rights.

The spokesman said in a statement that the Taliban had a major hand in the recent violence in Afghanistan and that the only way to end the 40-year-old violence was through talks between the Afghan government and the Taliban. It may be recalled that a few days ago, US State Department spokesman Ned Price had said in a statement that Pakistan is a partner with the United States on various fronts.

Spokesman Ned Price said the United States and Pakistan have common interests when it comes to peace and stability in Afghanistan.

The United States views Pakistan as a “helpful and constructive partner” in Afghanistan, but the common interests of the two countries go far beyond that. Peace and stability in Afghanistan is in the common interest of the United States and Pakistan, and our collective efforts will give a glimpse of peace and security there. He said that Pakistan has been supporting the common desire for peace in recent times.

On the other hand, General Austin Scott Miller, the most senior US commander in Afghanistan, resigned from his command. It is worth mentioning here that the United States left Bagram Airbase on Friday, July 2, 2021. Afghan officials say the United States is now completely out of Afghanistan and all institutions in Afghanistan are under our control. The US military’s Bagram airbase was the largest base to fight the Taliban.
