Turkey and Greece agreed to talk about sea tensionNATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg announced that Turkey and Greece are all set to start technical talks to reduce the risks of military incidents and accidents in the eastern Mediterranean. Both countries have a tense standoff over offshore energy rights.
The chief of NATO said that Greece and Turkey are valued Allies, and NATO is an essential platform for consultations on all issues that affect our shared security”. He said that “I remain in close touch with all concerned Allies to find a solution to the tensions in the spirit of NATO solidarity.”
However, there is no final announcement made by Ankara or Athen about the last meeting.
