UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres welcomed the ceasefire in Gaza and Israel, saying the efforts of Egypt and Qatar for a ceasefire were commendable.
He called on all parties to implement the ceasefire. The international community, together with the United Nations, came forward to rebuild, rehabilitate and develop Palestine.
The UN Secretary-General said it was the responsibility of the Israeli and Palestinian leadership to discuss the root causes of the war.
On the other hand, US President Joe Biden has also welcomed the ceasefire between Hamas and Israel. Biden said both Israelis and Palestinians have the right to live in peace. This is a real opportunity to make progress. We will do everything possible to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza.
