US Secretary of State inked a new deal to support more American troops.

Mike Pompeo sealed a defense cooperation deal with Polish officials to pave way for more US troops to Poland. Pompeo who is on a long visit to Central and Eastern European countries met Polish officials in the capital city of Warsaw. Meanwhile, the Polish defense Minister welcomed the deal and said ” It will serve to increase the security of other countries in our part of Europe.” Earlier about 4500 U.S. troops are stationed in Poland which will now increase to about 5,500. Last month, President Donald Trump ordered the withdrawal of about 12,000 troops from Germany with more than half to be re shifted to other countries in Europe including Poland.
