In another remarkable global sports achievement, Pakistani fighters Mehmosh Raza and Rafiq Afridi secured championship titles in the featherweight and bantamweight categories at an international mixed martial arts event, defeating their Indian rivals.

Mehmosh Raza triumphed over India’s Ravi Saw in the featherweight category, claiming the title for Pakistan. In the bantamweight division, Rafiq Afridi outperformed India’s Pradeep Hooda, bringing another title home.

Pakistani fighters continued to shine in other matches as well, with Ijaz Ahmed defeating India’s Ankit Gujjar, Mujahid Baig prevailing over Rajveer, and Musab Asif winning against Afghanistan’s Wahid Ahmadi. Meanwhile, Afghan fighters Samir Nusrat and Amil Siddiqui clinched victories in two of the bouts, representing Afghanistan successfully.

Adding to Pakistan’s recent successes in martial arts, Garrison University Lahore’s student Manisha Ali won gold in the +73kg category at the 6th Asian Taekwondo Championship held by KASAD in Tangerang, Indonesia. She excelled among hundreds of international athletes, while her sister, Maliha Ali, earned a bronze in the 73kg category. The championship, hosted at the Indore Stadium Sports Center, featured fierce competition across categories.

Earlier, Pakistani martial artist Shahzeb Khan captured the gold medal after defeating the Philippines’ Calamba in the -54kg final at the Asia Open Kyorugi Taekwondo Championship, highlighting Pakistan’s growing presence on the international martial arts stage.
