Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday said that the generation of cheap energy from the Thar coal mine project would be a “game changer” for the development of the entire country amid skyrocketing fuel prices.
Speaking on the occasion of inaugurating Sindh Engro Coal Mining Company (SECMC) Phase II commercial operations during his visit to Thar Coal Mines Block II, the Prime Minister said the project was “high on the agenda” for the government. It will provide lower cost of power generation.’
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that ‘we can generate electricity for the next 300 years through the Thar coal project’.
