WhatsApp now makes it possible for Android users to move talks from one device to another without using Google Drive.

In recent months, Meta has been quite active in improving the app experience for its consumers. The business recently updated WhatsApp with new capabilities, some of which include utilizing the same account on four devices at once, preserving lost messages for future use, etc. Making it simple to transition between devices is an effort to lessen reliance on Google.

As of right now, WhatsApp lets its Android users save their conversations and media to Google Drive so that they can access them whenever they need on a different device. However, the app now wants to lessen its reliance on Google.

Wabetainfo recently reported on WhatsApp’s efforts to roll out a new feature for Android users so that they don’t have to rely on Google Drive to back up or transfer their chats. The feature is still in the testing phase.
