Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United Nations Munir Akram, commenting on Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech at the UN General Assembly, said that the world community’s attention was not drawn to critical global issues and he kept silence. Ambassador Akram further told that Modi’s speech was silent on international affairs and contradicted the reality of a divided, brutal, and economically failed India, which is embroiled in disputes with all its neighbors.
He said that Modi did not mention the Kashmir issue, the Middle East, especially the question of Palestine, climate change. Kashmir has come under fire from other international organizations and the foreign media for its belligerent occupation of Kashmir, severe violations of the rights of innocent Kashmiris, and atrocities against Muslims in particular.
