At least 12 people have died in Turkey, and two death were reported in Greece. After a strong earthquake struck the Aegean Sea on Friday.

According to the US Geological Survey (USGS), the earthquake struck off of Turkey’s Aegean coast, north of the Greek island of Samos.

US Geological Survey (USGS) records it at 7.0 on the Richter scale, Turkey’s disaster management authority (AFAD) puts magnitude at 6.6.

12 killed, 419 injured in Turkey; two reported dead, eight wounded on Samos Greece.

Turkey’s Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) said 12 people have died, and 419 people have been injured.

On the Greek island of Samos, two were found dead, and eight were injured. A state of emergency has been declared in Turkey.
