In a major development the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) has confirmed the allocation of Rs300 million for establishment of three joint border markets in Baluchistan with Iran and Afghanistan.

The decision was taken in a meeting of ECC Chaired by the Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin last day. The amount for the establishment of joint border markets to be transferred from the Ministry of Railways.

It must be noted that a total of eighteen border markets will be established in Baluchistan along the Pak-Iran border.
