The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to buy Dilip Kumar’s house and the Kapoor family’s historic mansion, both of which are in a dilapidated condition at the moment. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Archaeological Department will pay funds for the purchase of the houses.
Money has also been allocated to buy both mansions. A letter has been written by the Archaeological Department to the Deputy Commissioner Peshawar instructing them to implement Section 4 on both the houses and fix their value.
Dr Abdul Samad, director of the archaeology department in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, said both houses were in a terrible condition.
According to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Archaeological Department, both houses will be purchased and restored to their original condition.
