The government has maintained the prices of petrol and kerosene for the next fortnight while the cost of high-speed diesel has been increased.
The notification issued by the Finance Division said that to provide maximum relief to the people, the government has decided to bear the increase in the prices of petroleum products in the international market.
According to the announcement, the prices of petrol, kerosene and light diesel will remain the same. However, due to the extraordinary increase globally, the price of high-speed diesel has been increased by Rs 4 per liter. Costs will apply from December 1 and will remain in effect for the next 15 days.
It may be mentioned that after the government decision, the price of petrol will remain at Rs 100, 69 paise, kerosene at Rs 65, 29 paise, light diesel at Rs 62, 86 paise per liter, while the price of high-speed diesel will increase by Rs 4 to Rs 105 It will be 43 paise.
