The opposition is eyeing the Punjab Assembly and Chairman Senate seats for which the opposition has prepared a new battle against the government.
In Lahore, PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari called on opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly and PML-N leader Hamza Shahbaz Sharif at his residence in Model Town.
Pakistan Peoples Party Senator and former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani were also present on the occasion of the meeting between Hamza Shahbaz and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
The PDM leaders discussed anti-government strategies, including the opposition’s long march, in-house change in Punjab, and bringing Yousuf Raza Gilani as chairman Senate.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has already hinted at making Punjab the first front.
Other PPP leaders who attended Hamza Shahbaz’s luncheon in honor of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari included Qamar Zaman Kaira, Chaudhry Manzoor, and Hassan Murtaza.
On behalf of PML-N, former Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Khawaja Saad Rafique, Rana Sanaullah, Ataullah Tarar, and Owais Leghari attended the luncheon.
