Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood said Educational institutions in Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Lahore, Multan, Rawalpindi, Sialkot, and Gujarat will remain closed from March 15 to March 28.

Due to the increase in Covid cases in the country, 15-day holidays have been announced in educational institutions in Lahore and some other cities of Punjab.
According to details, Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mehmood said in a press conference that holidays are being announced in Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Lahore, Multan, Rawalpindi, Sialkot, Gujarat from March 15 under which schools will remain closed till March 28, while Educational institutions in Islamabad will also remain closed for the next 15 days.

It has been reported that the meeting of NCOC chaired by Federal Minister Asad Omar was attended by the ministers of all the provinces through video link. The situation of Covid in the country was reviewed. The meeting was also attended by the education ministers of all the provinces. The next course of action was decided in the meeting. After the meeting, Dr. Faisal Sultan and Shafqat Mehmood briefed the media and said that due to the increase in Covid cases, 15-day holidays are announced in some other cities of Punjab including Lahore.
