In the 13th National Women’s Football Championship in Karachi, the defending champion Army defeated Young Rising Stars 0-15 thanks to a hat-trick by Hajira Khan and Swabia Sarfraz.
Aliza Sabir and Ramin Farid of Army also scored 2 goals each in this match which was played at KPT Ground.
In another match, Sara Abdul Majeed of Jaffa Club scored 5 goals and led her team to an 8-1 victory over FC Karachi at KMC Football Stadium.
In Group D, Diya Women’s Football Club beat MUK Football Club 0-15, Shumaila and Maryam scored 4, 4 goals for the winning team while Rabia Javed netted 3 and Zaneera Shah netted 2 times. Showed the way.
Highlanders defeated Mohsin Gilani Women’s Football Club by 8 goals at KMC Ground, Nazalia scored 5 goals, Asmara scored 2 goals and Fareeha scored 1 goal.
